Dive into the world of 261 Fearless

Get to Know Mandy, 261 Club New England

We want to introduce our 261 Coaches around the world - you can now meet the fearless women making the 261 Club Meet Runs happen every week and empowering women through running! Today, we want you to meet Mandy from the 261 Club New England.

*2 words people would use to describe you:

              1. Enthusiastic

              2. Dependable

*6 people you’d invite to a dinner party:

              1. Jimmy Garoppolo (so dreamy)

              2. Taylor Jenkins Reid (my favorite author)

              3. Martinus Evans (founder of Slow AF Run Club, coolest runner ever?)

              4. Meryl Streep (the actress I would choose to play me if my life became a movie)

              5. Jonathan Van Ness (Queer Eye is my go-to comfort show and the JVN hair product line is incredible)

              6. P!nk (because I aspire to be this epically cool)

*1 running accessory that you can’t live without:

              1. Sunscreen! I wear sunscreen on my face while running year-round. Glossier is my favorite brand because it doesn’t sweat into my eyes.

*When did your running journey start?

My brother-in-law signed up for the 2011 Boston Marathon as a charity runner and a classmate of mine bet me that I couldn’t do it. Well, I don’t like when others try to dictate what I am capable of…

*How long have you been a 261 Coach?

2 years – I started as a member of the Boston group, became a coach for the Boston group, and I am about to begin coaching with the Dorchester group. I am excited to work with a community a bit closer to home in Quincy!

What advice do you have for other women considering becoming a 261 Coach?

Why NOT you? Don’t let imposter syndrome stand in your way. Every woman is unique and has something valuable to offer. Be fearless, raise your hand!
